Changes Made to Website

Image
This is a screenshot of my original website, due to it being the first thing that a viewer will see, I took it upon myself to make attractive and eye catching. Therefore, I decided that my original idea was dull and resultantly changed the background to a smoke type effect. I believe this added a different visual aura and was more eye catching to the viewer. Similarly, I decided that having that many social media links on the right hand side of the page could become too confusing and too complex for the demographic I'm aiming to attract. Some of the social media links are to platforms that people of a younger age might not have access to these apps. I therefore reduced it to a fewer amount of the more popular social media platforms in order to make it easier for viewers to access any information. Equivalently, before any changes were made, this image as seen on the left was a still picture. I therefore decided to change it to a dynamic image, I believe this has adde

Production Diary for Music Video

Adding of Shots The production for my music video first started off by adding all my footage to my library on the movie creator (imovie). Then, using my shot list and script, I deciphered which clips needed to go in which time phrase to complete my music video. It was important that I did this as I wanted each my shots to be no longer than 4 seconds, this therefore helped me with the organisation of my music video and made it more efficient for me to figure out which clips needed to be shortened.  Editing Shots Furthermore, it was important that I stuck to my idea of having the majority of my shots no longer than 4 seconds, due to the fact that some of my shots were longer than my intended limit, I took it upon myself to shorten specific shots in order to make my video more professional. Similarly, I had to lengthen some of my shots in order to keep the effect I was going for. The reason for editing some of shots is because I wanted to keep the viewer intrigued and ai

Production Diary for Website

This shows the basis for my homepage on my website. I have chosen to include my artist's logo on the main page as it solidifies who's page it is and gives the audience a greater understanding of the artist's persona. This can include the dark colours I have used, for dramatic effect, and the proportion of the image compared to the writing around it. In the navigation bar I have chosen to use four different links to various information any viewers wish to pursue. Similarly, I have decided to add social media links on the right hand side, they will be used as links for the audience to view any opinions they may have to do with artist, it may also be used to ask any questions. I have set the social media bar so that when a viewer scrolls up or down, the navigation bar remains on the right hand side. The reason I have done this is to show the importance of contacting the artist through social media as its allows constructive criticism to be shown to the artist. This will allo

Feedback on Music Video

In order to improve my music video I'm going to make alterations to it that will help suit the specification and demographic better. These will include adding more detailed shots to my video to make it more easily understandable from the audiences prospective; re-shooting some shots so that they are clearer and editing some of the footage so it fits better with the audio features. - For the first minute of my video, it consisted of my characters stood underneath a lamppost. In order to improve this I'm going to add in more shots of pictures being sketched in order to prevail the emotions the character are feeling throughout the music video. Similarly, its important that i use more close ups of the characters, this will help introduce feeling and emotions. Moreover, I'm going to include in certain scenes, elements of lip-syncing. This will add more character to my video. - At 1:26, I need to change the way i have edited that scene in that instead of having 2 shots side b

Location Shots

Image
The reason I have chosen this specific location for some of my shots is because it adds an intended essence of mystery and intensity. I have chosen a contrast between my two locations; one being dark and one being light, this I believe shows a contrast between the two feelings I aim to present in my music video. Similarly, this location will also be a key part in the transition between my two locations in which I plan to change the mood of my music video through a smooth transition from a negative connotation to a positive one. (Didn't get chance to take photos of other location, will post them as soon as i can.)

Props and Costumes

These are the clothes for my male character will wear, the reason I have chosen these specific items are because I believe it will make my artist look mysterious and unpredictable. Similarly, I believe it fits it with the message I'm trying to prevail in that I want to show that someone can't be defined by external features but in fact everyone shares similarities within. My character will be wearing the same outfit throughout the whole music video. Moreover, my male character will wear a pair of vibrant shoes, this I believe will help show my characters willingness to stand out from the crowd.      This the outfit I have chosen for my female character, I believe this will hold a similar persona as it want it to also add a mysterious element to my character. I have chosen for my character the ripped jeans for the reason that I think it holds sentimental value to the message I aim to deliver, in that it symbolises ones struggle. My female character will similarly be w
